Bob Irving is a veteran Senior Reverse Mortgage Consultant. He began his career in 2001 with the mortgage subsidiary of the Bank of New York, an acknowledged pioneer in the reverse mortgage industry and was selected as a charter member of the Marketing Advisory Council. He presently covers Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Maine as a reverse mortgage specialist for First Integrity Mortgage, LLC. For over ten (10) years he has worked closely with hundreds of senior homeowners, their families and trusted financial advisors to help them identify an appropriate reverse mortgage solution from among a broad spectrum of options. As a broker representative, Bob is able to present his clients with all available options without any bias to a particular product or lender. He fully outlines pros/cons of choices available from many lenders.

He prefers to meet with clients and families in their home. Family meetings in the home are always the best approach to learning about the pros/cons of reverse mortgages. Bob takes the loan application at home, as well, carefully explaining every step of the process. Finally, unless requested otherwise, the closing will usually be scheduled at the client's home... so borrowers never need to be inconvenienced by travel to an attorney's office or deal with the confusion of mailed-in documents. 

Mr. Irving is a Certified Senior Advisor (CSA) and is trained in issues of importance to seniors and their families. He writes a monthly column entitled "Ask The Reverse Mortgage Guy" for a local mewspaper, he has appeared on local television and radio and has been invited to speak before professional and community groups in a continuing effort to educate consumers and those who work closely with seniors. A favorite topic is The Ten Greatest Myths About Reverse Mortgages.

He is a former member of the Merrimack Valley Estate Planning Council and served on the Board of Directors for 4 terms.  Bob has been a long-time member of the Maine Estate Planning Council and the Essex County Estate Planning Council. He previously served as a member of the President's Circle at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute representing the Irving Family Fund - a family group that has successfully raised over $100,000 for directed research projects on Lymphoma. Among other activities he is a member of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA) and the Seaplane Pilots Association (SPA) and enjoys flying small aircraft at Lawrence Municipal Airport. As a former USAF Captain & Instructor Navigator he is a proud member of the Distinguished Flying Cross Society and is credited with 150+ combat missions. He also received 7 Air Medals, 2 Presidential Unit Citations and the Air Force Commendation Medal while serving in Vietnam 1967-1968.
